Some 173 bird species inhabit the area. These include Blue Crane, Karoo Korhaan, Fairy Flycatcher, Dusky Sunbird, Southern Double Collared Sunbird, Layard’s Babbler, Eastern Clapper Lark, various Bustards, and a variety of wagtails.
